Well, another new school year has arrived! And boy, the rush to get everything in order is on. With so much to do, believe it or not, the one task I stress most about is my bulletin board. I always want it to be fun and eye-catching for the my students, but also reflect my interests. Since I had already done a sewing theme, I went for baking . . . cupcakes to be exact!
For this cute bulletin board theme, I used light yellow fabric (2 yards) for the background, a sprinkle design border, 4" blue letters, and cupcake accents ( I used a Susan Winget design).
To make it look like a sweet shop, I created my own awning by cutting 1.5" strips from red construction paper and pasting them on to 6 sheets of white construction paper. Scallop the edges and staple them to the top of bulletin board.
