This post is dedicated to all the lovely newbie and not-so-newbie teachers out there who are want to set up their classroom without breaking their budget. Whenever I'm out and about, I'm always alert for deals on supplies, decor, and resources that I can use in my classroom. Here are some great deals that I discovered:
If you teach elementary, you can stock up your library with these great classic lit books for just a $1 at Target!! They offer great titles from Moby Dick to Little Women and reading levels are given on the back cover.
Another dollar deal from Target was these flash card set of rhyming words. They work great as a resource during poetry-writing lessons.
This decorative hook I found at Joann's for a $1.50 (70% off) and comes from a line of back-to-school decor. What I love about these hooks are all the possible uses they can have like hanging your hall passes, or getting several to hang students' back packs. Besides the apple design, they also have pencil, ruler, crayon or glue motifs. Oh make sure to check out the clearance section - that's where I found some cute ice cream pencil sharpeners for just .50 cents!
The Dollar Tree stores have a great little teacher supply corner. I found these cursive stickers charts that I'll be using for my student's desk as a point of reference.
Hope you've enjoyed these dollar deals. I'll be back in the next weeks with more Teach & Save posts! Sue
