After watching this movie last night, I was not only overwhelmed by its sadness (its plot is truly heartbreaking) but also from the artistry that the movie carries. Each scene is a throwback from the pages of a 60's ultra-chic magazine, amazingly elegant and vivid in detail. Colin Firth and Julianne Moore are immaculately dressed and stunning in their performances. I don't gush about movies a lot but this is one is well-worth watching if you enjoy films where mood and atmosphere are built through aesthetics.
